THE WARRIOR'S PATH: Wisdom from Contemporary Martial Arts Masters

In late 2002, Shorinji Kempo members from Toronto Branch and Eglinton Branch participated in a photo shoot for the book "The Warrior's Path." The author of the book, James Sidney, wished to get some additional images of Shorinji Kempo to illustrate the chapter on our art.

The book is a collection of interviews with senior budoka from a variety of disciplines including Karate-do, Aikido, Judo, Naginata-do and Shorinji Kempo.

The chapter on Shorinji Kempo consists of an interview with Uchiyama-sensei (Daihanshi, 9th dan) - the most senior living exponent of the art.

"The Warrior's Path" is a magnificent collection of wisdom from senior budo masters and breath-taking photography by James Sidney that truly captures the spirit of budo. The book is a must if you are interested in budo training, regardless of discipline studied.

The US edition is published by Shambhala Books (ISBN: 1590300742) and the Canadian edition by Key Porter Books (ISBN: 1552634787).
